I'm Tom Valdez. I served in the U.S. Navy as a Data Systems Technician aboard USS Peleliu (LHA-5), then spent more than four decades working with computers and running my own businesses.
I started Today's Credit Cards in 2007 to help people sort through confusing credit card offers. Much has changed since then: new laws now protect service members, issuers offer real military benefits, and the scams have gotten smarter.
So I've rebuilt the site around the community I know best: veterans, service members and their families. My goal is simple: plain-English explanations, honest comparisons, and pointers to the official sources so you can decide for yourself.
